Please be courteous to those riding with you.

Please note that the seats at the front of the bus are for people with disabilities. Please relinquish these seats if they are needed. The wheelchair lift is available for anyone who needs or requests that accommodation.

Bags and small boxes are permitted, provided they are small enough to fit on your lap, in the overhead rack, or at your feet in front of you, and do not block the aisle.

Always use the handrails for support when you enter or exit the bus. The steps can get slippery when wet, use extra caution in inclement weather.

Please have your payment ready before you board. If paying cash please have the exact amount in an envelope with your name on it.

If using an electronic audio device, please use headphones or low volume.

Please keep in mind that our buses are a confined, close environment, in most instances our passengers sit close together. Colognes, perfumes, and aftershaves that are overused can be as offensive as body odor. In some cases, we have had passengers have allergic reactions, or complain of nausea because of overly strong odors. Please be considerate of your fellow passengers and practice proper hygiene.

Brown Coach operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, disability, or national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act.

To obtain additional information about your rights under Title VI or ADA Contact Brown Coach, Judy Russell, Program Administrator.

If you believe you have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, disability or national origin by Brown Coach, you may file a Title VI or ADA complaint by completing, signing and submitting the agency's complaint form.

How to file a Title VI or ADA complaint with Brown Coach, Inc

  1. To obtain a complaint form from Brown Coach, contact Judy Russell, Program Administrator, Brown Coach, 50 Venner Rd Amsterdam, NY 12010 phone: 518-843-4700.
  2. In addition to the complaint process at Brown Coach, Inc. Complaints may be filed directly with Federal Transit Administration, Office of Civil Rights, Region VII, 901 Locust St, Suite 404, Kansas City, MO 64106.
  3. Complaints must be filed within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence and should contain as much detailed information about the alleged discrimination as possible
  4. The form must be signed and dated, and include your contact information.
